Choose a set of satisfactory bedding, which can add the finishing touch to the overall layout of the bedroom, but if the bedding is improperly washed and maintained, it may cause some trouble. The following is a description of some commonly used bedding knowledge:

1. Mattress maintenance

①. In the first six months, flip the mattress once a month, and then flip it every three months. This will make the mattress equally stressed, without causing some springs to become elastic and fatigued early due to the high frequency of use; and often the head and tail of the mattress can increase the comfort during sleep and make the mattress more evenly stressed.

②. Use a vacuum cleaner to clean the mattress several times a year to keep the mattress clean. The mattress needs to be dried frequently to keep your sleep refreshed and comfortable.

③. When the mattress is not contaminated with dirt, use soapy water to clean it. Do not use strong acid or alkaline detergents to avoid fading the mattress.

④. Using bed sheets and bed covers not only has the function of absorbing sweat, but also can change the color and the atmosphere of the room. The main purpose is to be easy to remove and wash and ensure hygiene of sleep.

⑤. Avoid sitting on the edge of the mattress often to avoid uneven force on the spring and deforming. Don't let children jump on the mattress, causing the most direct damage to the spring.

⑥. Do not smoke or use electrical supplies on the bed, so as not to accidentally burn the bedding and mattress.

2. Cleaning quilts should not be treated equally when cleaning quilts, because different quilts have different washing methods.

Washing of fiber quilt:

can be washed with water, but be careful not to use washing powder when cleaning, and choose detergent. The washing time should not be too long, half an hour is the best.

Silk quilts:

It is best to dry clean. If you wash with water, use special silk detergent, because silk is not suitable for using too strong stain removal products. It is best not to use bleach. After washing, take it to a ventilated place to dry.

Wool quilts:

cannot be washed in water, only suitable for dry cleaning. Hang in a ventilated place for 30 minutes to 1 hour to achieve the effect of sterilization and moisture removal.

3. When the quilt is hung on the human body, it will constantly absorb moisture, so it must be exposed to the sun regularly. There is also knowledge about the time to dry quilts: the longer the quilts, the better. Generally, it is best to dry them from 11 am to 2 noon for 2 to 3 hours; down and wool do not need to be dried frequently, and they must not be exposed to the sun, because high temperature will cause the oil in the feathers and wool to change, resulting in a rotten smell. Such quilts can be dried in a ventilated place for 1 hour. After drying the quilt, people are used to slapping and patting, thinking that this is both clean and fluffy, but in fact it is not. Cotton fibers are thick and short and fragile; synthetic fibers are thin and long and easy to deform. Once beaten, the fiber shrinkage plates will not recover after being formed into pieces. The down quilt cannot be beaten, and the down breaks into a small “ feather dust ” will affect the warmth effect.

In addition, if you want to dry a quilt in cloudy weather, here is a tip: cover the quilt with a large black garbage bag that has been cut open. Although the sun is not strong, it can achieve a soft and comfortable effect of the quilt due to the absorption of ultraviolet rays by black.

4. Stacking of quilts

We have to linger with quilts on average for seven hours a day. The sweat and heat discharged from the skin will also be wrapped in the quilt, which will not easily evaporate. According to statistics, the amount of water absorbed by the quilt is at least 200C.C per night. If you have the habit of getting up and folding the quilt, in addition to the quilt becoming stinky due to heavy moisture, it will also breed bacteria as time goes by, and make the quilt thick and inelastic. Therefore, after getting up early every day, we can try to spread the quilt that we had slept for the whole night so that it can evaporate as much as possible. We can fold the quilt before leaving the house or fold it in reverse.
