Newcastle officially announced the appointment of Martin Mark as the first team set-piece coach.
Newcastle official website said: Mark, 31, joined Newcastle from Denmark's Central Japanese Land, where he has held a similar position for three and a half years. Under the leadership of head coach Thomas Thomas Berg, Mark implemented an innovative set piece tactic and achieved remarkable results.
Zhongjitland Club won the 2023/24 Danish Premier League championship and ended the season with the first place in the regular season in the 2024/25 season. In the last season, they have scored a total of 64 league goals, 27 of which are from set pieces. In addition, the team has entered the knockout stage of the Europa League last season.
Mark has previously coached the youth teams of Central Jedland and Aalborg BK. He will meet with Eddie Howe and his coaching team before Newcastle's first pre-season friendly against the Celtics on July 19.
