Husky: Chelsea buys Rodgers? This is for buying, and he can t compete with Palmer

Some media reported that Chelsea intends to introduce Villa midfielder Morgan Rodgers, and Villa's former player Husky said that there is no need for the Blues to make this signing.

He said: "I think he's ready for the transfer, and it's quite interesting to see Chelsea want to sign him, because Villa doesn't need to sell their core players. But considering the PSR rules, the club will naturally weigh the good quotes. Selling Rodgers may help Villa balance the accounts, he is one of the most valuable players on the team.

"But I'm not sure where Rodgers can play at Chelsea. Even if Sterling and Maduaike leave the team, he has to be behind Palmer. It's interesting because another former Manchester City player has the potential to join Chelsea, but I think Rodgers should be at Villa for at least another year.

"He performed well, Villa is in the upward period, and they may enter the top four in the league in the new season. This is a big challenge and a good opportunity for Rodgers. I think if Rodgers goes to Chelsea, he may perform well. But for Chelsea, this signing may be unnecessary, just to buy it."
