The Athletic reported that Diogo Jota will appear in the official Premier League star card series for the 2025-26 season, which will start in the UK on August 7.

The Liverpool striker and his brother Andre Silva died in a car accident in Spain's province of Zamora on July 3. However, since Topps' Premier League star card's roster needs to be determined and put into production before the end of May, Jota is still included. Jota in the card is wearing Liverpool's new season Adidas jersey, and Tops has communicated with the club on this special situation.

After the star card in the series starts in the UK, it will be released globally on August 21. Each 10-piece deck contains autographed cards for active players and Premier League legends. It is reported that Jota had signed some signature cards during his lifetime.

Liverpool recently announced plans to build commemorative sculptures in Anfield as the core place to remember Jota forever. During the 2025-26 season, the Reds coached by Slot will wear the "Eternal 20" badge in their jerseys and jackets, and the club's official charity Liverpool Foundation will launch the youth training program under the name of the Portuguese international.

When the first round of the Premier League, Anfield will hold a special fan puzzle event and observe a minute of silence. Liverpool announced last month that it would retire the No. 20 jersey of all ages to commemorate the player who died young.
