Reporter: Manchester United does not allow the head coach s authority to be eroded by retaining a player who does not want to stay in the team

Recently, Manchester United chief reporter Samuel wrote an article about Manchester United's current team situation. He said that Manchester United cannot allow the head coach's authority to be eroded by retaining a player who does not want to stay in the team.

Samuel wrote: Solskjaer admitted to reporters in the only Manchester United preseason in 2019 that he prefers to talk to the media without a camera. In that preseason first press conference, Solskjaer clumsyly suggested that the media had a "agental" for Pogba. A few days ago, Pogba said it might be time to go elsewhere to meet new challenges.

Manchester United repeatedly protected and accommodating Pogba. Woodward emphasized Pogba's popularity among teammates and said he likes agent Raiola. However, this comes at a huge price.

In 2020, on the eve of the key Champions League group stage between Manchester United and Leipzig, the late Raiola announced that Pogba's career at Manchester United has "end". United lost that game and were eliminated, and they never considered selling Pogba, who left the team after his contract expired again in 2022, a decade since his first contract expired.

Consolidating a player who wants to leave during the preseason would undermine the authority of the head coach, and six years ago, Solskjaer had to deal with the problems of Pogba and Lukaku. Last year, Tenghah faced the problem of Sancho, who was forcibly brought back to the team by Ineos.

Sancho never apologized for accusing Tenhah of lying in September 2023, and Tenhah had to swallow his anger, reintegrate Sancho and get him on the court in a friendly match. Tenhamher handled this matter so well that Sancho was doing well in three tournaments at Manchester United a year ago. At the end of the tour, Tenhah even suggested that Sancho could start in the absence of injured Hoylen.

When Sancho appeared in the Community Shield game last year, there was no boo. But in recent years, Manchester United fans no longer take pride in not booing themselves, and booing has become a common phenomenon. Sancho actually won applause when he walked towards the free throw point in the penalty shootout.

Sancho was not on the first Premier League match against Fulham, and eight days later he went to Brighton and was not on the matchday roster. Chelsea then took him away from Manchester United, but only temporarily. Unfortunately, Sancho stayed at Manchester United for longer than Tenghach, and Tenghach's authority was damaged by Sancho's return.

A year has passed, and Sancho is still stuck at Manchester United but will not be on the tour. When Sancho was mentioned at Amorin's press conference in February this year, Amorin barely acknowledged his existence, and the two most likely had never met.

Sancho played casually during his four years at Manchester United, openly challenging the head coach and enjoying "freedom" after Rashford's loan to Aston Villa. One benefit of profitability and sustainability rules is that they calculate the player’s value and effectively set the price range for potential transfers, Sancho is now worth about £14.58 million.

The clubs interested are not stupid either, and even if Sancho has performed well in the preseason, they won't pay more millions of pounds for it. Senior players who go to Chicago with Manchester United are likely to stay with the team after the transfer window is closed at 7 p.m. on September 1, and accommodating Sancho, Anthony, Garnacho and Maracia will bring more questions rather than answers.

This is also in line with Manchester United's firm support for Amorin, who was considered unsold a year ago, but now he has been listed for sale for many challenges to the head coach. Some people think Amorin should compromise with Garnacho.

Garnacho, despite his bad temper and considers himself perfect, is a winger with world-class potential. If the so-called "Manchester United Way" does exist, then Garnacho embodies this on the court through his talent and diligence.

But off the court is another matter, he may be distracted, apathetic, childish and confrontational. He tested Tenghach on several occasions, the earliest on the first tour in 2022.

The Manchester United head coach should have a limit to tolerance, and Garnacho is the youth training legacy left by Tenhach. Amorin inherited him, and the system he insisted on always makes Garnacho feel uncomfortable. Ironically, Garnacho performed well as an inside winger.

But distracted during the tactical briefing, angrily leaving the court after being replaced, and questioning the coach's choice (even if he had some truth to the question of Mount's starting lineup in the UEFA Cup final), these are all disgraceful behaviors. Manchester United cannot allow the head coach's authority to be eroded by retaining a player who does not want to stay on the team, which is what they did to Pogba.
