The woman who attacked Visa tried to kidnap his son. She was eventually sentenced to 18 years in prison, but the trauma left behind by the attack on Visa has been there.
Visa underwent binocular surgery and the doctor told him that he had to take eye drops for the rest of his life for treatment.
Visa said: "Since then, whenever I hear some abnormal noise, I panic. The only thing calms me down is that I know my child is safe. It took half a year for my vision to recover. If I had not received first aid at the time, the consequences would have been more serious."
Physical trauma did not mean all for Visa.
Visa: "Since then, I have become more timid and can no longer stand being surrounded by people I don't know. I no longer show more love as I used to. When I walk, I will look back instinctively. At night, if I lie down myself, I can't sleep. The kids often ask me what's wrong with my face, but they're too young to tell them. Someone asked me to have plastic surgery, but it's all part of my personal history. My wife and I had to see a psychologist, and she was suffering from depression.
