According to the BBC, Chelsea will transfer its location to Miami next, and will move to New York if it can go further in the Club World Cup.
Chelsea encountered extremely hot weather while preparing for the Club World Cup group stage. The club set up a training base at the home court of Philadelphia United, Sobalu Park Stadium and its training ground, but it happened to catch up to the hottest period in the local area in 13 years, with the temperature as high as 40 degrees.
Maresca said training is nearly impossible in this case, and Chelsea can only do "very short" training as the authorities have issued health warnings and recommend avoiding intense outdoor activities. During the training period, a large spray fan was used to cool down, and drinking water was arranged after each training session.
Chelsea will next move to Miami in the knockout round, 750 miles south of the Club World Cup 1/8 finals venue, Charlotte, North Carolina. If it can go further in the Club World Cup, Chelsea is expected to move to New York.
